The Salt Flap XL helps protect large flatbed, dump-body, and roll-off trucks while allowing your taillights to remain clearly visible—whether they’re mounted above the flatbed, just below it or down like like that of a roll-off body.

This heavy-duty system can be mounted directly to your salt spreader or attached to the truck’s flatbed or dump body using mounting brackets, heavy-duty eye bolts, or by a simple strap/chain.

DUMP-BODY OPTION

Dump bodies with taillights mounted in the side uprights can use our quick-mount tailgate brackets. The included 1“ diameter tube will bolt into the ends of the man salt flap pipe and extend into the tailgate mounts of the dump body.

This configuration includes a 7-foot-wide, 36-inch-tall heavy-duty rubber flap and does not have  a clear taillight window.

WINDOW OPTIONS

For trucks with taillights positioned behind the Salt Flap XL, a heavy-duty, marine-grade clear vinyl window allows the lights to remain visible.

A durable protective mesh covers the vinyl window, adding an extra layer of protection against impacts and scratches—while giving the Salt Flap XL its rugged, finished appearance.
